Actually I started out intending to paint a very high-key floral piece. You know, all real pale colors. Well, the painting evidently had other things in mind. So we fought each other for weeks that turned into months. I would work on it some and then set it on the easel where I could see it from across the room. A few days would pass, then a few weeks, then I would go over and we would have another round of wrestling and then we would do the whole thing again. Now that it is finished I am actually quite fond of it. There is lots of impasto and some very nice color shading and depth.

This painting is 8 inches by 10 inches. It is oil paints on gallery wrapped canvas. It was painted in 2008. It is attractively framed in a simple wooden frame.
